Official Contestant Rules & Pageant Guidelines

1. Pageant Format
• The pageant will be held on October 3, 2027, at 8:00 PM at ReView Lounge.
• The competition is conducted in one night; there are no weekly rounds or eliminations.
• Every contestant competes in all five scored categories.
• Contestant call order will be assigned through a random selection process.
• Scores accumulate throughout the competition.
• The contestant with the highest verified final score is crowned Miss ReView Lounge 2027.
• The contestant with the second-highest verified final score is named First Runner-Up.
2. Competition Categories
Presentation — Pride Theme
The 2027 Presentation theme is Pride. Contestants are judged on their interpretation of Pride, creativity, overall
appearance, confidence, and stage presence. Suggested maximum time: 2 minutes.
Talent
An individual entertainment presentation. Talent may include lip-sync, dance, live vocals, comedy, spoken word, or
another approved performance. Suggested maximum time: 5 minutes. Backup dancers are allowed with advance
approval from pageant management.
Formal Wear
A formal-wear presentation judged on the contestant's complete presentation, including overall appearance, poise,
modeling, fit and suitability, styling, hair, makeup, and accessories. The cost of the attire should not determine the
score.
Q&A
An on-stage question intended to evaluate communication, personality, confidence, professionalism, and the
contestant's ability to represent Miss ReView Lounge publicly.
Audience Participation
Audience Participation is included as a scored category and is worth up to 10 points toward each contestant's final
score. The contestant receiving the most audience support will also be named Crowd Favorite and receive a $50
cash award.
Miss ReView Lounge 2027 is a one-night drag pageant. Every contestant competes in all five scored categories,
scores accumulate throughout the evening, and the contestant with the highest verified final score will be
crowned Miss ReView Lounge 2027.3. Scoring
Talent carries the greatest weight at 30 points. Presentation, Formal Wear, and Q&A are worth 20 points each, and
Audience Participation is worth 10 points, for a total possible score of 100 points.
4. Category Criteria
Presentation (20 points)+ Talent (30 points)+Formal Wear (20 points)+Q&A (20 points)+ Audience Participation (10 points)=TOTAL POINTS 100
5. Eligibility & Entry
• Contestants must be at least 21 years old on the date of the pageant and present valid government-issued
identification.
• Contestants must submit the official application and pay the $20 entry fee no later than September 30,
2027. Late applications will not be accepted. No exceptions.
• A previous Miss ReView Lounge titleholder may not compete for the same title again.
• Contestants must comply with ReView Lounge policies and all pageant rules.
6. Performance & Safety Rules
• Talent music must be submitted no later than September 30, 2027, in the required format. Late music
submissions will not be accepted. No exceptions.
• Props must be disclosed or approved in advance when requested by pageant management.
• No fire, pyrotechnics, weapons, or realistic-looking weapons are permitted.
• Liquids, glitter, confetti, projectiles, smoke/fog equipment, or other materials that may create a slipping, fire,
cleanup, or safety hazard require advance approval.
• Contestants are responsible for their own costumes, makeup, props, dancers, and performance preparation
unless otherwise announced.
7. Judges & Scoring Administration
• The judging panel will consist of three to five judges.
• Judges score contestants independently.
• Potential conflicts of interest should be disclosed before the competition.
• Scores become official after verification by the pageant administrator.
• The judges' final decision is final, except that an administrative scoring or calculation error may be corrected.
8. Tie-Breaking Procedure
If contestants finish with identical final scores, ties will be resolved in the following order:
• Highest Talent score.
• Highest Q&A score.
• If still tied, an additional on-stage question.
9. Backstage Rules
• Each contestant may designate one primary dresser/assistant for the contestant dressing area.
• Additional dancers may enter backstage as necessary for an upcoming approved performance.
• Contestants are responsible for the conduct of their assistants, dancers, and other members of their team.
10. Contestant Conduct
Contestants and their teams are expected to act professionally and treat other contestants, judges, staff, entertainers,
and guests with respect. Serious misconduct may result in a point deduction or disqualification, including:
• Threats, fighting, or violence.• Theft or intentional damage to another person's belongings.
• Tampering with another contestant's costume, props, music, or performance.
• Harassment or intimidation of judges, staff, or other contestants.
• Attempting to improperly influence or manipulate scoring or voting.
• Serious violations of ReView Lounge policies or applicable law.
11. Crowning & Awards
• All contestants return to the stage in formal wear for the crowning ceremony.
• Contestants must remain through the completion of crowning and official photographs.
• Primary awards are Miss ReView Lounge 2027, First Runner-Up, and Crowd Favorite.
• First Runner-Up will receive an award equivalent to $75 in cash or prizes.
• Crowd Favorite will receive an award equivalent to $25 in cash or prizes.
• Category awards such as Best Talent, Best Formal Wear, Best Presentation, and Best Q&A may be added at
ReView Lounge's discretion.
12. Miss ReView Lounge 2027 Prize Package
• A $250 cash prize, paid on the night of the contest.
• Official crown and sash, presented on the night of the contest.
• A one-year residency at ReView Lounge with one paid booking each month.
– Paid bookings are equivalent to $125 per show plus 10% of net sales above $750.
• Promotional photography and/or featured promotional opportunities.
• A $100 cash payment for hosting the Miss ReView Lounge contest the following year.
13. Titleholder Responsibilities
The winner will be expected to sign a separate Titleholder Agreement establishing the expectations of the reign.
The agreement will distinguish paid bookings from responsibilities associated with holding the title.
• Represent ReView Lounge professionally during official appearances.
• Participate in designated ReView Lounge events as agreed.
• Fulfill the one-year ReView Lounge residency.
• Participate in agreed promotional photography and video.
• Promote official Miss ReView Lounge appearances on social media when required by the Titleholder
Agreement.
• Return the following year to host the next Miss ReView Lounge contest unless excused by management.
14. Vacancy or Removal of Title
The Titleholder Agreement will define circumstances under which the title may be resigned or revoked, including
serious misconduct or substantial failure to fulfill agreed titleholder responsibilities. If the title becomes vacant,
ReView Lounge may offer the title to the First Runner-Up.
15. Acceptance of Rules
By entering Miss ReView Lounge 2027, each contestant acknowledges that they have read, understand, and agree
to comply with these Official Contestant Rules & Pageant Guidelines, ReView Lounge policies, and reasonable
instructions issued by pageant management for the safe and orderly operation of the competition.
